Have you come with a grudge?

Dispel evil with what is good.

Repel thou the evil with that which is fairer.

Repel evil with that which is better.

Repel evil by what is better.

(O Muhammad)! Repel evil in the best manner.

Why allow such hatred to remain beneath the surface festering?

Everybody takes out his grudges on somebody else.

For one thing, he was too absentminded to hold a grudge.

Repel evil with the best deeds We well know the matters that they fabricate.

Repel thou the evil with that which is the best, We are the Best Knower of that which they utter.

This interference roused him to anger, a feeling he rarely experienced.

It also distributes public emotions, feelings such as anger and resentment.

He uses all his malice and skill to destroy the kingdom o Christ.

Our ancient word of courage, fair Saint George... inspire us with the spleen of fiery dragons!

They plant hatred and spite in us whether we like it or not.

Whatever the rancour they may have in their hearts We shall (cleanse and) remove.

We will remove whatever rancor is in their hearts. Rivers will flow beneath them.

And We remove whatever rancour may be in their hearts. Rivers flow beneath them.

but now you also put them all away anger, wrath, malice, slander, and shameful speaking out of your mouth.

But now ye also put off all these anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

More and more people in democratic countries feel unrepresented, anxious, and angry.

Verily Allah is of that which they work Encompasser.

Surely, Allah surrounds all that they do.

God comprehends what they do.

Allah surely encompasses all that they do.

Lo! Allah is Surrounding what they do.

Putting away therefore all wickedness, all deceit, hypocrisies, envies, and all evil speaking,

Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,

I've had a grudge against you ever since you walked out on me.

Do they whose minds are filled with doubt, think that God will not expose their malice?

What! Do they, in whose hearts is a disease, fancy that Allah will not expose concealed enmities?

Or did those in whose hearts is sickness think that God would not bring to light their rancour?

Deem those in whose hearts is a disease that Allah will never bring to light their secret malevolence?

Or do those in whose hearts is a disease (of hypocrisy), think that Allah will not bring to light all their hidden ill wills?

Do those in whose hearts is sickness think that God will not expose their malice?

Or do they, in whose hearts there is a sickness, believe that Allah will not bring their failings to light?

Or do those in whose hearts is a disease deem that Allah will not bring to light their (secret) hates?

For this alliance may so happy prove, To turn your households' rancour to pure love.

They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise,

And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy?

They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All mighty, the Al laudable,

And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy

They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All Mighty, Worthy of all Praise!

They begrudged them only because they believed in God the Almighty, the Praiseworthy.
